Areas affected by cellulite include thighs, buttock, abdomen, calves, and upper arms. All adult women are affected by cellulite to some extent: lean and fit women, average weight women, and heavier women. Fat cells arranged in chambers, surround the skin's connective tissue. The 30 minute procedure produces thousands of tiny wounds which can penetrate as deeply as the dermis and start up the inflammation phase. The minute wounds caused by the needling trigger growth-factors that form new tissue layers and natural collagen with hardly any downtime at all. These minute injuries cause micro-bleeding, not visible on the skin and each tiny wound goes through the classic phases of wound healing which induce growth factors. These growth factors are responsible for the production of new collagen which is deposited in the dermis.

Gluconolactone strengthens skin's barrier function, reducing sensitivity to irritants and skin redness over time. As an antioxidant, Gluconolactone inhibits elastase to preserve healthy tissue and maintain skin's youthful elasticity, resulting in smoother texture and a diminished appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Glycolic Acid: is a natural constituent of sugar cane, is the smallest molecule of the AHA family and is optimally absorbed into the skin. It exfoliates the skin by enhancing cell turnover, evens the distribution of pigmentation, refines the appearance of pore size and helps smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The result is healthier, younger looking skin, with a smoother texture and reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

General Anesthesia: Combination of intravenous medications injected to induce unconsciousness during surgery and eliminate pain.

Peptide: Popular in cosmeceuticals, this tiny chain of amino acids can prompt the skin cells to make more collagen, the epidermis to normalize, and the blood vessels to become plumper and healthier - all of which should, in theory, reduce the signs of aging over time. Another emerging class of peptides temporarily relaxes the facial muscles that are responsible for crinkling, so the skin looks smoother and fine lines are less obvious. Copper peptides can cause brown spots to fade and smooth wrinkles very slightly.

You may be able to minimize these side effects by initially using tretinoin every other night and then, over the first month, gradually increasing the frequency to nightly. Tretinoin also makes the skin more sensitive to ultraviolet rays from the sun. Therefore, a broad-spectrum sunscreen must be used to prevent sun damage. "Static" wrinkles are wrinkles that are present even when one is not moving the muscles of one's face.
