During the course of August several of my fellow doctors and I attended the annual Aesthetic & Anti-Ageing Medicine Society of SA Congress during which we took part in courses and workshops on the latest procedures. In addition we viewed exciting new technologies which are due soon in South Africa. Recently we have come across a book by Kate Somerville, the famous skin care expert from Los Angeles, who works with extremely similar technologies and products to Skin Renewal. The book, "Complexion Perfection: Your ultimate guide to Beautiful Skin by Hollywood's Leading Skin Health Expert", is available through Exclusive Books and we have acquired copies for all our branches. Some of the results that Kate has achieved are truly remarkable.
We have dedicated our Spring newsletter to one of our favourite topics -CELLULITE! As the weather warms and we start to bear our bodies a little more, we once again become aware of that dreaded "orange-peel" skin with its rough texture and unpleasant appearance. As Spring begins, so things have started to flourish at Skin Renewal as well. Firstly we welcome Dr Bianca Le Feuvre to our medical team in Cape Town. Many of our staff have been on leave over the course of the last month and they have all returned to face the usual hectic last 3 months of the year. Our new website will be going live in the next week and we will be highlighting a series of videos that we have produced showing many of our procedures as they are carried out by our doctors and therapists. This will give prospective patients the opportunity to see treatments before they undertake them and also to see original un-retouched before and after pictures and video. We have also expanded the site to include an extensive section devoted entirely to specific skin types which will enable visitors to pick up skin care tips as well as potential skin conditions that are applicable to their specific skin type
