Trafalgar Renewal-in support of Khulisa’s Streetscapes Project

Through its Streetscapes project, Khulisa finds sustainable systemic solutions to social problems. One proven solution to homelessness and some of its associated problems, including substance abuse, is to provide alternative life choices through meaningful employment that is combined with upskilling and basic life education.

Streetscapes provides employment options, one of which is through the establishment of inner-city vegetable gardens – these gardens are tended to by previously homeless individuals who discover self-worth and dignity in seeing the fruits of their labour and newly acquired skills, and who benefit from the income generated through the sales of organic vegetables to restaurants and residents.

Trafalgar Renewal is a story of collaboration: The Renewal Institute joins hands with Khulisa and the Trafalgar High School to establish the newest vegetable garden in the District 6 area. On 23 October a 1 000m² garden will be constructed with the aim of improving the lives of 25 families. You can be a part of this by taking up / pledging one of the packages below. Contact Anel on 082 448 1113 / for more information.
