Prejuvenation

In recent years, there has been a growing trend in the aesthetics arena (and also, to an extent) in the beauty industry that involves starting anti-ageing treatments earlier than what was traditionally recommended. This desire to prevent the signs of ageing before they are visible resulted in many clinics and aesthetic brands using the term "age-prevent" products or "age-prevent" treatments, which has later morphed into the term "prejuvenation". In other words, when approaching skin rejuvenation, 'prevention is better than cure". This phenomenon is commonly referred to as "prejuvenation."

What is prejuvenation?

Prejuvenation is taking preventative measures against the signs of ageing before they even appear. In the past, the focus of the aesthetics industry was primarily on reversing the signs of ageing once they had already set in, but with the rise of prejuvenation, the emphasis has shifted to preventing them from appearing in the first place. This trend has spilt over into skin treatments and home care products that help prevent, rather than cure, the signs of ageing.

Why should someone have prejuvenation treatments?

The goal of prejuvenation is to maintain a youthful appearance for as long as possible. This can include various procedures such as Botox, Dermal Fillers, laser treatments, chemical peels, skin-tightening procedures, carboxytherapy, needling, fractional treatments and mesotherapy. These treatments address early signs of ageing, such as fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin.

Advances in technology and medical research have made prejuvenation treatments more effective and accessible than ever before. Procedures for skin rejuvenation & prejuvanation have become less invasive and require minimal to no downtime compared to a mere decade ago.

However, it's worth noting that prejuvenation is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Different people have different needs when it comes to anti-aging treatments. The best approach will depend on factors such as age, skin type, budget, skin condition and lifestyle habits.

What treatments could be included in a comprehensive prejuvenation solution?

With the advances in technology and the various treatment options available to us at Skin Renewal, we can tailor our treatment solutions to each patient's needs by combining a number of the following treatment options:

• Skin Renewal Fractional Fusion Treatment (These solutions include one or more of the following treatments: CO2 Laser; Pearl Fusion; RF Needling; FSR; Dermapen)

• Chemical Peels

• Laser Toning or Laser Genesis

• Limelight

• Carboxytherapy

• Dermapen or Micro-Needling

• Transdermal Mesotherapy

• PDT (Photo Dynamic Therapy)

• Injectables: Botox; Filler; Threads; Biostimulators

While prejuvenation can be an effective way to maintain a youthful appearance, it's essential to approach it cautiously and consult a qualified medical professional to determine the best approach for your individual needs. A tailored, combination approach for each patient is vital and targeting the problem on multiple levels is very important. Ensuring that the pillars of anti-ageing are all addressed will result in significant, long-lasting results.
