Dr Maureen Allem

Dr Maureen Allem is a cosmetic doctor and the founder of national non-surgical, anti-aging company Skin & Body Renewal. It has 12 clinics across South Africa's major cities. She has six medical doctors working with her using the same methods she has spent years honing.

She frequently travels all over the world attending World Anti-Ageing Congresses and Laser Forums to stay abreast of the most up-to-date non-surgical procedures.

Dr Allem is a sought after speaker on anti-ageing and non-surgical facial rejuvenation techniques and body sculpting. She has appeared on TV and radio many times discussing non-surgical aesthetic solutions and her advice articles have appeared in numerous publications.

Dr Allem qualified as a Medical Doctor in 1987. Following a 10-year career in the conventional medical profession, running a medical ward in a provincial hospital, she moved into the executive health field doing annual medicals and life-style assessments for top executives nationally. Then in early 2001, she became increasingly interested in non-surgical aesthetics and the use of non-invasive treatments to rejuvenate the face and body. After extensive training in South Africa and abroad, she opened up her own clinic (Skin Renewal) in mid 2005. The company has since grown substantially with branches in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. She personally oversees each branch by rotationally travelling between them.

Dr Cecile Baard

Dr Cecile Baard is a cosmetic doctor. She obtained her MBChB in 1995 at University of Pretoria. Thereafter she spent two years working at a military hospital. In 1999, Dr Baard did extensive training in advance trauma and cardiac life support. At the same time, Dr Baard attended various training courses in aesthetics and attended the European international congress in 2009.

Dr Baard left the private practice to work on a cruise ship from 2002 to 2005 as senior physician. She returned to South Africa and studied medical weight loss. In 2007, she joined Slender Wonder and in 2008 started training doctors in the science of weight loss and in quality control of weight loss products. Dr Baard has done various training courses in aesthetics and frequently travels all over the world attending World Anti-Ageing Congresses and Laser Forums to stay abreast of the most up-to-date non-surgical, anti-aging procedures.

Dr Dalize Willemse

Dr Dalize Willemse is a cosmetic doctor. She is based in Cape Town and rotates between three of Skin Renewal's Cape Town branches: Claremont, Willowbridge and Stellenbosch.

She studied a BSc Psychology at Free State University and graduated in 1992. Five years later, she qualified as a medical doctor at the University of Stellenbosch. She did her two year housemanship at Groote Schuur hospital followed by one year community service at Malmesbury Provincial Hospital. Dr Willemse opened her own general practice in Malmesbury in 2000. Seven years later, she developed an interest in aesthetics and started doing courses and attending aesthetic congresses. She continued to practise general medicine, but in 2009 she opened up her own aesthetics practice in Malmesbury. At the same time, she also started working for Skin Renewal part-time. She loved its professionalism and vast array of treatment options so much, she soon became full-time. Dr Willemse says the best part of her job is the smiles on her patients' faces after treatment.

Dr Xenephin Ludick

Dr Xen Ludick is a cosmetic doctor. He is part of the medical team at non-surgical, anti-aging company - Skin & Body Renewal

Dr Ludick qualified as a Medical Doctor in 2004 from the University of Pretoria. After completing his internship in Cape Town, he started doing some Emergency Room work before joining a medical practice in Melrose Arch. This is when he developed an interest in the aesthetic side of medicine. Since then he has worked exclusively in this field.

Dr Ludick is a confident speaker on anti-ageing and non-surgical facial rejuvenation techniques and body sculpting. He has also appeared many times on TV and radio.

Dr Bianca Le Feuvre

Dr Bianca Le Feuvre is a cosmetic doctor who joined the Skin Renewal team in March 2010. She is based in Cape Town and works between the Claremont and Cape Quarter branches.

A sun conscious lover of face masks and other skin products, Dr Le Feuvre's interest in non-surgical, anti-ageing treatments started at a young age. After qualifying as a Medical Doctor in 2005, she moved into Emergency Medicine, but found she was becoming increasingly interested in weight issues and the aesthetic aspect of stitching wounds. She found herself noticing the finer details like facial asymmetries when treating patients for unrelated problems. Even though Dr Le Feuvre gained a diploma in Mental Health in 2009, she continued to fixate on how people can be a 'best version of themselves' without surgery. So she attended her first Aesthetics Conference in Pretoria. By the end of 2009, she completed her Botox training with Allergan and did an anti-aging course with SOLAL. In early 2010, she started training with Dr Maureen Allem and gained valuable experience in injection techniques.

Dr Debbie Norval

Dr Debbie Norval is a cosmetic doctor. She recently joined the Skin Renewal team and is half-way through studying for a two-year post-graduate course in Aesthetic Medicine through the Foundation for Professional Development. She has also attended various courses on the use of dermal fillers, Botox and Mesotherapy. Recently, she attended the International conference in Aesthetic Medicine in Pretoria.

Dr Norval qualified from Wits University in 1991 and has a diploma in Palliative Medicine through the University of Wales UK and a Masters degree in Palliative Medicine through UCT. Both received cum laude. Prior to joining Skin Renewal, Dr Norval worked in Palliative Medicine at the Witswatersrand Hospice for 14 years. She also has a City and Guilds Diploma in Adult Teaching and Training and has spent much of her time training healthcare professionals in pain control, medical ethics and symptom control. Dr Norval is often invited to speak publically and has presented papers at numerous conferences. She says the move from end-of-life care to health and wellness and the more creative work at Skin Renewal is a refreshing change.

Dr Marilyn Sharp

Dr Marilyn Sharp is a cosmetic doctor. She is proud to be part of the medical team at national, non-surgical, anti-aging company Skin & Body Renewal.

Dr Sharp graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1986. After graduation, she worked for 10 years at the Johannesburg Hospital. In 1990, she wrote and passed her Dermatology Primaries. The next five years were spent in the insurance field doing medicals and lifestyle assessments. In 2006, she trained under Genop Healthcare in aesthetics and she regularly attends non-surgical, anti-aging congresses to keep up-to-date with the latest procedures and products.

Dr Toni Van der Merwe

Dr Toni Van der Merwe obtained her MBChB and qualified with first class honors at the University of Cape Town in 2005.

She completed her internship in 2006 at Somerset Hospital and her Community Service in 2007 at Victoria Hospital whereafter she became a Medical Officer in the Accident and Emergency Department for 3 years. During her time there she took courses in advanced Paediatric and Adult life support. Through her studies; Dr Toni received the 2003 John Feming Brock prize for Family medicine as well as the 2004 SA Society of Anaesthesiologists medal.

Dr Toni started working at Skin & Body Renewal in July 2011 where she trained under Dr Maureen Allem at the Cape Town branches. Currently, she sees clients' at all four branches in Cape Town. Dr Toni has always been very interested in the aesthetic side of medicine, and really enjoys working with people who take care of themselves or who want to better themselves in some way. Dr Toni is looking at obtaining an Aesthetic diploma in the near future.

Dr James Goodwin

Dr James Goodwin managed some of the largest dairy concerns in Southern England and British Columbia from 1976 to 1979, after completing his B.Sc .Agric at Natal University. He returned to South Africa to study medicine, qualifying in 1983.

He worked extensively in rural Southern Africa and British Columbia and was the only flying doctor in Southern Namibia and the Yukon for several years. He later joined the corporate world in Johannesburg before turning to aesthetic medicine and joining Skin & Body Renewal in 2011.
